A note from our Chief Executive Officer, Marie Newman
What a wonderful summer it has been at Little City. It is incredible to think about how much we’ve accomplished in the span of just a few short months. New school year signals opportunity for all to learn!
It had been 10 years since brothers Nick and Eddie had the chance to experience a first day of school. That changed on Aug. 8th when the brothers walked through the doors of Little City’s ChildBridge Center for Education with smiles on their faces and ready to learn. Little City gets its own Field of Dreams!
It was the summer of softball at Little City as the Palatine campus received a huge renovation that transformed the old field into a true diamond! Elk Grove-based Midwest Field Solutions spearheaded the ambitious project, donating more than $30,000 worth of material, labor, and equipment to turn a field that had become overgrown with broken fences and benching into a pristine field with fresh sand, new benches, and a repaired backstop and surrounding fencing.
Golf Classic raises funds to support aging residents
More than 160 golfers came together for the 2023 Little City Invitational to raise money that will help Little City’s aging residents receive the vital renovations they need to live in their homes safely and comfortably for years to come. One of Chicagoland’s longest-running charitable golf outings, the Little City Invitational once again drew a great crowd thanks to the beautiful Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove.
