The Little City Associate Board got a fresh start this past year with a new event and members. Although the pandemic put a lot on pause, that did not stop the new Associate Board from hosting the “Little Brews for Big Change” virtual beer tasting event.

“It’s a small, but mighty group,” said Theresa Fifarek, Relationship Manager and one of Little City’s Associate Board liaisons. “We are really excited about this next generation of leaders, who are building a foundation for Little City’s future.”

The Little City Associate Board works to support our programs and services through fundraising and volunteering, while offering members networking and leadership opportunities.

“We get valuable insight from up and coming professionals and are able to utilize their experience,” Theresa said. “And our Associate Board gives our members the opportunity to gain networking experience, the ability to give back, raise awareness for a cause that they are passionate about and connect with the leaders on our Governing Board.”

The most recent beer tasting event, hosted in partnership with Noon Whistle Brewing, raised over $4,000 and helped spread awareness for Little City.

“Our original goal for this event was to have 50 attendees, but we doubled that by the day of the event. The Associate Board took initiative to make this event their own, and it was a great event to kick off the journey of this new group of members,” Theresa said. “Matt, a manager at Noon Whistle worked with us to create an event that would engage all ages (above 21) and spread word of Little City’s mission. We are excited to partner together in the future. ”
