Little City is proud to have the commitment and generosity of the Chicago Club Managers Foundation!
Since 2015, Little City has been granted a total of $350,000 from the CCMA and its Foundation.
Funded by the CCMA and its Foundation, a kitchen and restaurant training center at Little City was successfully completed. Additionally, members developed a 10-session, LifePath Culinary and Kitchen Arts Program for highly functioning residents at Little City. As a result of the commercial kitchen, eight Little City participant trainees graduated from the Culinary and Kitchen Arts Program.
Some graduates achieved competitive community employment in local food service establishments, while others continue to use what they learned to take a more active role in the meal preparation and dining experiences in their homes.
The kitchen continues to be used daily as meals are prepared and Little City participants enjoy meals together and learn new skills.
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the generosity of the CCMA never wavered. Without hesitation, they redirected their $125,000 pledge for Little City to use towards its most urgent needs. Thanks to this donation, Little City was able to withstand the pandemic and provide essential resources to its staff and the individuals Little City serves.
