Dan Thompson
Dan Thompson serves as Little City’s Chief Human Resources Officer, overseeing a workforce of roughly 550 employees across multiple locations spanning from Cook and Lake counties down to Joliet.
Dan began his career in Human Resources in 1991 and has worked for various organizations large and small in many states across the country including several non-profits. His most recent position was as Vice President of Human Resources and CHRO at a safety and security company in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
Dan is a graduate of the Daniels School of Business at Purdue University where he earned his Master of Science in Human Resources Management. He earned his Master of Divinity from Liberty University. Dan also holds the highest available professional certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the first Gulf War.
Dan has a heart for making a difference in the lives of others and continues to do so in his role at Little City. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Dan can apply his passion for helping others through managing and resolving employee issues, handling payroll, spearheading recruitment, overseeing benefits and much more across the entire agency.
