Little City Artist Spotlight

Amanda “Mandy” Kallas

Meet Amanda “Mandy” Kallas, a talented and joyful artist who has been a part of the Little City family for nearly two decades! Known for her infectious happiness and sweet giggling, Mandy’s artistic journey began in our Center for the Arts where her skills and love for the arts continue to blossom.

Mandy’s preferred artistic medium is colored pencils on white paper, which allows her to express her creativity with a delightful and happy touch. Her heart soars when creating butterflies and flowers! This happy, artistic technique showcases her unique style – resonating with art enthusiasts of all ages.

When you observe Mandy’s process, you’ll notice her methodical approach. She likes to start by outlining her drawings, shaping each subject. Then, she weaves patterns, colors, and patches, resulting in her own masterpieces. Her aesthetically pleasing color choices breathe life into her artwork, capturing aspects of her own personality and the essence of joy.

Mandy thrives on challenges and embraces them wholeheartedly, as she has recently started working with watercolors. Additionally, she has tackled various subjects, from people and superheroes to objects and still life compositions. While she occasionally ventures beyond her comfort zone, her love for butterflies, flowers, and vibrant colors remains her artistic sanctuary.

Let Mandy’s artwork grace your walls and fill your life with colors that will never fade!
