New Platform Connects Families with 550+ IDD Resources
Gov. Pritzker Declares August 2025 ‘IDD Navigator Month’
August 20, 2025

Palatine, Ill. – Aug. 20, 2025 – For many Illinois families of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), finding the right services can be an overwhelming, frustrating and time-consuming process. Now, thanks to the IDD Navigator, help is just one click away.
IDD Navigator is a new, public digital platform that connects families, caregivers and self-advocates to more than 550+ support service providers statewide. Designed to be intuitive and accessible, IDD Navigator addresses one of the most persistent challenges facing the IDD community: simply knowing where to begin.
Governor JB Pritzker has officially proclaimed August 2025 as IDD Navigator Month in Illinois, highlighting the importance of expanding access to services and support across the state. With more than 30,000 children and adults in Illinois currently participating in or seeking state-funded services, the need for a clear, easy-to-use system has never been greater.
“IDD Navigator offers a much-needed central hub where families can easily find the services they need,” said Ann Morris, Chief of Communications & External Affairs for Little City Foundation. “It fills a critical gap for an under-served community by simplifying what was once a complicated and fragmented search for information. We are optimistic about its potential to improve the lives of families across Illinois.”
IDD Navigator was developed by Little City Foundation, a nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with funding from the Coleman Foundation, a longtime supporter of community-based solutions that improve quality of life.
