To serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing the best options and opportunities to live safely, learn continuously, explore creatively, and work productively throughout their lifetime.
To create an inclusive community where each individual and family we empower can achieve equity, pursue their dreams, develop meaningful connections, and gain the support and skills they need to thrive.
We proactively and continually strive for each person we serve to:
Adaptable We are resilient by adjusting to the changing world and striving for excellence through continuous improvement.
Advocates We are the voice that champions for the fair treatment, rights, and acceptance of those we serve.
Inclusive We are committed to a culture that values the importance of diversity and equity.
Compassionate We recognize and respond to the needs of others by bringing humanity to our work.
Leaders We forge a path through courage, innovation, and leading by example.
Little City was established in 1959 by a group of parents who dreamed of a revolutionary environment for their children whom “experts” often said should be institutionalized. Over the years, Little City has grown to serve both children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a wide scope of programs and services.
Learn MoreWhat makes Little City different? Our ongoing quest is for dignity, equity, opportunity, and fulfillment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At Little City, we dream big, do big things, and empower big lives. We are trailblazers who challenge the status quo, and we fight for equity and opportunity at every turn. Our vision is for the individuals we serve to be part of a community, have someone they can call a friend, and continually build their skills so they can thrive.
Little City’s dedicated staff makes an impact every day in the lives of the people we serve. Because of our compassionate and caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), the people in our care enjoy opportunities to live safely, learn continuously, explore creatively, and work productively throughout their lifetime. Won’t you join us in making a difference?
