Nicole Terrell-Bedell

Vice President of Child and Family Services

Nicole Terrell-Bedell brings more than a decade of experience in the foster care and adoption field to her role as Vice President of Child and Family Services at Little City. Since joining the organization in 2022, Nicole has served as Supervisor at the former Joliet foster care office and as Director of Placement and Permanency, where she helped more foster children find permanent homes and successfully guided the program through a growing caseload.

A graduate of leadership academies through the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF) and Little City in 2025, Nicole is recognized for her ability to streamline reporting structures, improve accountability, and achieve impactful outcomes. In her new role, she is based in Chicago and oversees the entire Foster Care & Adoption program, including the Matteson and Chicago offices. Her priorities include expanding services to reach more families and addressing turnover and staffing challenges common in foster care.

Passionate about her work, Nicole says she values the supportive, collaborative culture at Little City and is grateful to continue making a difference for children and families in need.
