Meet Trinette Hicks

Celebrating DSP Week 2025!

Trinette Hicks believes in everyone’s potential.

For more than seven years, Trinette has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation for the participants in Little City’s adult programs. Whether in the homes, at Countryside Center or currently at the Center for Employment & Business Opportunities, Trinette has found a way to not just connect with those she serves, but to challenge them to set goals and work toward their dreams.

“It’s a good place to work. It makes you appreciate life in general and see how others can overcome challenges in their lives. They have disabilities but that doesn’t stop them from achieving the things they set out to do. We’re here to help them know just because they have a disability it doesn’t stop them from getting a job or going out into the community. If you keep doing the same thing, you’ll get the same results, so I try to teach them how to change their approach when they struggle with something.”

“I love what I do, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. There’s not really a bad day when you work in this type of atmosphere because every day is new and it makes you want to come back and see what tomorrow might hold.”

Trinette is so beloved by those she works with that her entire class wanted to take a picture with her for her DSP Week feature!

Thank you, Trinette, for all you do!
