What To Expect
Each home in the Duffey Family Children’s Village can support up to eight children who are supported 24/7 by a team of Direct Support Professionals, therapists, and health and wellness professionals. The dynamic, modern space features a private bedroom for each child, four full bathrooms for children to learn hygienic skills, sensory rooms for emotional regulation, and communal spaces such as a living room, dining room, laundry room, and kitchen where residents can learn life skills and social skills.
Based on a client-centered assessment and planning process, each child is provided with an Individualized Residential Service Plan and Mental Health Assessment that guides intervention and engagement. Homes are designed to support and empower children who are at a similar level in their development. As they learn and grow, they are able to move to a different home within the Duffey Family Children’s Village, building a strong foundation to prepare them for adulthood.
