Music Therapy becomes a featured class at Countryside Center to encourage communication and creative expression.

February
Community outings become a vital program component to help participants stay connected to the community.

March
Rich Bobby is named Chief Executive Officer – leading this mission towards more growth and opportunity for those we serve.

April
Our Annual Dinner Gala celebrated the collective work of our DSPs.

May
WGN visited campus to do a special “Around the Town” segment featuring our programs and services.

June
The Chicago Blackhawks took over campus! Defenseman Alex Vlasic, Tommy Hawk, and more hosted a fun day for residents and participants.

July
Our students enjoyed a Field Day before the start of the new school year thanks to volunteers from Motorola and Discover.

August
The Dorothy Rose Horticulture Center celebrated 50 years! For five decades, you have been helping hundreds of individuals grow their skills and abilities through this thriving program.

September
Our flag football team was selected as one of only 11 teams to participate in a Special Olympics competition at the Chicago Bears Walter Payton Training Center at Halas Hall.

October
Little City celebrated the opening of its sixth and final home in the Duffey Family Children’s Village. Spanning over 10 years, the Village has helped 95 children work to fulfill their own unique potential.

November
Little City participants did their civic duty and voted in the presidential election! Self-advocacy is a major priority for the IDD community and voting in elections is one of the most powerful ways to make their voices heard.

December
Little City closed out 2024 with a month full of holiday celebrations. Adults and children alike celebrated the holidays with parties, special events and activities throughout the month.
