Chief Human Resources Officer

Kelly Evans

Kelly heads up human resources at Little City, serving on the Executive Team and overseeing recruitment, hiring, retention, benefits, compensation, performance management, training, development, organizational culture, and more.

Kelly first joined Little City in 2008 as a program manager in the Adult Residential Program. She went on to work in various other roles at Little City, including overseeing an enrichment day program and ultimately becoming Director of Senior Residential and Day Services.

From Little City, Kelly moved on to work at several other agencies during the course of her career, in residential, consulting, and human resources roles, eventually becoming the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Progressive Careers & Housing in Olympia Fields, IL. She had the opportunity to return to Little City in 2021, rejoining as Human Resources Operations Director and rising to become Chief Human Resources Officer in 2022.

Kelly’s dedication to Little City’s mission stems from having two siblings with disabilities. The disability community has been part of her life from her earliest memories, and it became a passion for her when she worked as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) both in college and in her early career.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in behavior analysis and therapy, as well as a master’s certificate in human resources, from Southern Illinois University. She also has an Everything DiSC® certification.
