Vice President of Quality Programs and Supports

Theresa Moran

Theresa Moran oversees Quality Programs and Supports for Little City, ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery remain a hallmark of Little City’s mission to serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  

In her role, Theresa oversees the support departments whose goals are to ensure that the individuals Little City’s serves receive quality supports in safe and responsive environments.  The support departments under her department include adult mental health and behavioral services, residential nursing services, residential scheduling, and agency continuous quality improvement efforts.  Additionally, she coordinates the agency’s CARF accreditation efforts.  

Theresa initially came to Little City in 1999 as a licensing representative in the Foster Care & Adoption Program in Chicago. She worked her way through the program in different roles including licensing, case management, supervision, and eventually as director of the program. 

Ultimately, Theresa was able to fully utilize her skills to strengthen Little City’s leadership, assuming the role of Director, Quality Assurance & Centralized Support Services in 2009, and most recently Vice President of Quality Programs & Supports, bringing Little City immense credibility as a leading service provider for individuals with disabilities. 

Theresa likes to say, “I didn’t choose Little City, Little City chose me.” She often describes Little City as a family and truly believes it. Her relationship with Little City is her longest outside of her parents and siblings. Her personal dedication to Little City’s mission stems from knowing that our work changes lives and that it has made her a more caring, understanding, and tolerant person.  Theresa has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from Aurora University. She is currently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois.
